More Sneak Peeks!

-- Keep checking out the Last Chance Lists
Only a little over a week to grab your favorites before we have to say farewell!--

Hey there!

I don't have the exact project I promised from last time, but I do have more sneak peeks of new goodies from the upcoming 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog! It's definitely card-making time for me with all of the events that I'm not able to attend this year. I hope to keep saving up and not miss out anymore! One can dream, right?

The first is a sweet and simple graduation card for my cousin. Her favorite color is purple while her school colors were blue and white. The sentiment was the Word Play stamp set was colored in using Stampin' Write markers. That's one of the new In-Colors for 2011, Island Indigo framing the popped up message.

The second card was more of an playful experiment than a mission, but I wanted to share it anyways because crafts are supposed to be fun. Or I can claim I did it all on purpose and wanted to give it a "handmade touch." Ha!

A Circus of Color!

I wanted to challenge myself one day by making a Basic Black card and I know I wanted to show you all the new In-Colors. This is the hybrid product of those ideas! It was ton of fun using Whisper White Craft ink but messy though because I was too overzealous. I separated the images of the retiring Baby Steps stamp and made this balancing act. From the top ball, the colors are: Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Wisteria Wonder, & Lucky Limeade! Very fresh and fun and perfect summer colors.

I hope that whets your appetites just as much as it did mine!

Suiting Up For Summer

-- Keep checking out the Last Chance Lists that I wrote about last time! --

Hey there! Do you know that one of the best perks about being a demonstrator is? Getting a sneak peek of nearly everything! I can be pretty curious (read: nosy) and I love "being in the know." I've even started ordering new stuff from the upcoming Idea Book & Catalog that will go live in a mere 20 days! It's so exciting to see and be able to share some sneak peeks with you!Tons of exclamation points, I know, but I just can't help myself. It's all way too exciting.

It's cutting a little close to Father's Day and the start of summer is right around the bend, so I wanted to show you two quick and simple cards.

The NEW! Island Indigo tie is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals,
framed in the NEW! Pool Party
& that's the retired Sprinkles peeking out from behind.
The stamp set is the Best Dad Ever from the current Summer Mini.
(You can find it in my Idea Book + Catalogs section.)

The same Best Dad Ever stamp set used in a different way.
These are last year's In Colors (replacing Blushing Bride pink
with the more masculine/ neutral Chocolate Chip brown).

A couple of notes about these two cards:

- They're super simple and clean cut because I've learned that those aspects make for an easy masculine card. Many guys won't fully appreciate the effort put into an overly frilly or complicated card unless you make them appreciate it. Ha ha!

- The Best Dad Ever stamp set is from the current Summer Mini! It also includes "happy birthday" and "thinking of you" sentiments.

- The top card features two of the five newer In Colors that will be around from 2011-2013. They are Pool Party and Island Indigo that I surrounded with Chocolate Chip. This new way of featuring In Colors started last year. With the new catalog, we'll have a total of ten In Colors, with five changing out every year. Stick around for me to show you the rest!

- The current stamp set that resembles my retired Sprinkles set is the Confetti stamp set. It's just another reason to grab your favorites, especially when you know they are going to retire. However, keep in mind if there is a certain art style/ theme that you enjoy and you notice that most of current items that represent it are on their way out- don't fret! They are often being replaced by fresher and updated product.

- The bottom card includes four of the five In Colors that were introduced last year: Peach Parfait orange, Concord Crush purple, Pear Pizazz green, and Poppy Parade red. Like I mentioned before, I replaced Blushing Bride pink with Chocolate Chip brown just to keep it more masculine. I don't know too many men in my life that can pull off a pastel pink tie easily!

I'll be back later this week to show you a preview of a gorgeous stamp set that will be in the new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog!

One Last Dance

Hello!

Long time no see and that's completely my fault. Sorta. With school ending and then taking a family road trip, I have been pretty scatter-brained with little to no time for crafting with my latest haul. Now that the flurry of activity has waned, I'm able to let you know that the Last Chance lists have gone live!

The first of June is the time of the Stampin' Up year when they let everyone know what items will not be making the cut into the new catalog that will go live one month from now. Some products are 25-40% off! By clicking on each of the links I will list below, you will be taken to a PDF file of the lists that you can save and/or print out for reference.

Last Chance: Stamp Sets
These will be available until June 30, 2011.

Last Chance: Definitely Decorative
These are available while supplies last.
Last Chance: Accessories
These are available while supplies last
& they tend to go super fast, so I'll be keeping track of them.

Now, after painstakingly going through my personal catalogs and marking off what's retiring and what's being reconfigured (aka getting a makeover), I have a few thoughts:

STAMPS: Many that have a sketched feeling to them seem to be on their way out, as well as quite a few jumbo stamping wheels. Hostess sets are being refreshed, so if there's a certain level that you want, make sure that you contact your demonstrator to book a workshop! Keep in mind, if there's a style that you tend to favor and see that they are on their way out, don't fret! It usually means they're being updated and replaced with something even better. Grab items that have been on your wishlists before it's too late, but tune in in July to see what's new.

DEFINITELY DECORATIVE: Pages upon pages of them are being retired! Please check them out ASAP. In the new Idea Book & Catalog, these types of items will be incorporated.

ACCESSORIES: If you are a ribbon fanatic, you need to stock up on your favorites! It seems that the line is being severely overhauled. As usual, all current Designer Series Paper is being retired to make way for fresher looks. If you have any cutting/embossing dies on your wishlist, check those out too! Many of them are on this list at a discounted price.

I hope to share new projects in the near future!
